The Government Women’s Network (GWN) is an over-arching network for women's networks. We aim to inspire and empower public sector women to achieve their potential. We connect women’s networks across New Zealand, and share information, resources, and events information.

- Connect women and networks.
- Support networks starting up.
- Share information, resources and events.
- Share relevant messages from government and State Services Commission.
- Hold events to acknowledge significant dates eg, International Women’s Day, Suffrage 125.
- Work with other networks to hold events.
- Share event information and encourage participation.
- Develop resources for sharing.
- Connect with private sector women’s networks.
- Provide a voice for public sector women.
- Partner with the Women in Public Sector Summit organisers to deliver this event in Wellington and Auckland.
